5 travel inspiration podcasts

Podcasts are more than just a way to kill time on the commute, at the gym or when you’re on the road, they can take you on a journey, teach you new things and inspire you. Speaking of inspiration, try these 5 awesome travel podcasts to inspire your next adventure!

1. Indie Travel podcast

For everyone who’s ever wanted to learn how to travel full time (and more importantly debt free), this podcast is the bible. Linda and Craig from The Indie Travel Podcast have been going strong on the road since 2006, and their show features heaps of cool interviews with experts, plus tips on how to budget on your travels.

2. Extra Pack of Peanuts

Another good one for those on a shoestring budget Travis, who hosts Extra Pack of Peanuts, interviews travellers, bloggers and entrepreneurs to find out how to get around for cheap.

3. The Amateur Traveller

Amateur Travel is all about destinations, which makes it pretty handy for those suffering from the travel version of Kid-in-a-Candy-Store Syndrome. Chris started the show in 2005 and he’s racked up an amazing database of 556 episodes – each full of useful info on a particular spot.

4. Two Girls Trippin’

A cancer survivor and a Mortician aim to inspire you to live your own adventure. The dynamic duo, Lena Starbird and Kristina Kindred created the Two Girls Trippin’ monthly podcast. Their fun and entertaining episodes focus on DIY travels ideas, gadget reviews and their mistakes during their day, weekend and road trip adventures.

5. The Rough Guide to Everywhere

A travel podcast that is more pub story than a where-to-guide – The Rough Guide to Everywhere features the dynamic duo of Dervla Murphy, who cycled overland from Ireland to Delhi in 1963, and a more modern traveller, twentysomething Charlie Walker, back from four years cycling around the world.
